Q1.  WHAT IS A PLC ?

A.   A PLC means a Programmable Logic Controller which is a device that was invented to replace the conventional sequential relay logic circuits in any control system for either machine or process control. The PLC works by looking at its state of inputs, it turns on/off its outputs. The user enters a program, usually via software, that gives the desired results.

Q2.  WHAT IS A SCADA PROGRAM ?

A.   A SCADA is Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition program and acts as a Man Machine Interface (MMI or HMI) for visualization and control of any process control.

3.   WHERE ARE THE APPLICATIONS OF PLC/SCADA/DRIVES ?

A.  Today, practically all industries are having PLC control operation, such as steel/cement/power plants, paper/rice/flour/sugar/steel/aluminium-rolling mills, packaging industries, fertilizer factories, pharmaceuticals, refineries, petrochemicals, mines, machine shops, defense, railways, aircrafts, communication, ports, building automation etc.

Q4.   WHERE IS THE NEED FOR SKILLED PERSONNEL IN PLC/SCADA and DRIVES ?

A.   The need for skilled personnel in PLC, SCADA application is increasing in existing industries and in any new industry with automated systems, the need for trained personnel is mandatory as their processes are controlled with PLC/SCADA/Drives.

Q5.   WHO GETS BENEFITTED OUT OF OUR COURSE ?

A    Both employee who undertake contract/project oriented or operation and maintenance jobs in control and automation and employer (industry) who has/will have PLC controlled equipments are benefited.

Q6.   WHAT IS THE MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY IN PLC, SCADA, DRIVES TRAINING ?

A.   Degree/Diploma in engineering in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Applied Physics etc. (No previous work experience is needed).

Q7.   DO I NEED TO BE COMPUTER LITERATE WITH PROGRAMMING SKILLS ?

A.     It is not essential to have any PC programming skills for attending this course.

Q8.   HOW IS THIS COURSE CONDUCTED ?

A.    Each participant is trained individually by our project engineer(s) with intensive care in 1:1 ratio. With this practice, we find that our course participants get a much better exposure on the subjects and be confident in their professional field later on.
