Baldor’s VS1SD Servo Drives provide control of 3-phase AC induction servomotor in an industrial package and design. These NEMA 4X controls offer Baldor’s easy to use Smart Keypad for easy setup and flexibility. The VS1 keypad follows the same easy to use menu structure as that of its companions, the VS1SP Inverter and VS1GV Vector drives.
The One-touch auto tuning feature provides quick tuning of the motor to the control. More enhanced tuning can be accomplished using Baldor’s free Workbench tool. The Workbench tool provides an oscilloscope for display of step responses and further fine-tuning of the VS1SD Servo Drive.

The VS1GV AC Drive is a high performance vector drive that offers three modes of control - closed-loop vector, sensorless vector or V/Hz. The high performance algorithms in this drive provide control of motor speed and torque with the precision and responsiveness needed to accomplish the most demanding applications. Available in stock ratings from ¾ HP to 500 HP and voltage ranges from 180 - 575 volts, these drives incorporate a variety of features and design innovations that ensure dependable performance. Additional flexibility and higher operating powers are available from Baldor up to 1500 HP using our packaged drive capabilities.
Commonality is maintained within your facility for both closed loop and open loop applications by providing the same interface for all Baldor V*S Drives sensorless vector products.

  • Enhanced motor tuning featuring improved motor model. Accuracy improvement results in more torque per amp and the ability to control a wider range of variable speed motors
  • New power dip ride through uses the motor inertia to maintain bus voltage and power to the drive
  • Communication speed through put is increased by sending one data packet instead of multiple smaller pieces of information
  • Braking performance uses an improved regenerative torque limit calculation and results in more torque during deceleration
  • Motor current at zero speed is now selectable and can be set to output torque immediately after an enable input or to wait for a directional run command

  VS1PM Permanent Magnet Drive
Exclusively for use with Baldor Interior Permanent Magnet Motors, the VS1PM AC Drive is a high performance vector drive that offers an energy efficiency motor/drive package in a NEMA 1 enclosure. Both constant and variable torque loads can benefit from the efficiency gains using permanent magnet control. The VS1PM comes standard with resolver feedback and can automatically tune to the Baldor RPM-AC Interior PM Motors. Three modes of control are available–PM Closed-Loop Vector, PM Sensorless Vector or V/Hz. The high performance algorithms in this drive provide control of motor speed and torque with the precision and responsiveness needed to accomplish the most demanding applications.

  VS1PF Bypass Pump and Fan Drive
The VS1PF Bypass is a dedicated Pump/Fan Package with Hand/Off/Auto and Local/Remote Bypass features. Stock ratings up to 40HP 230V or 125HP 460V, this bypass package is powerful and cost competitive. Electronic Bypass can switch to Bypass Mode when a critical fault occurs in the drive allowing the motor to continue to operate.
The VS1PF line of controls offers both V/Hz and Encoderless Vector mode for both Variable Torque (VT) and Constant Torque (CT) applications. Energy Savings mode can reduce kW used by the control when operated on VT loads. The slimline design allows for side-by-side mounting with zero clearance. The PF bypass drive is prewired for quick connections to line, load, and analog/digital inputs.

Designed to replace fixed speed motor starters, the Baldor VS1ST is easy to setup, and ready to run out-of-the box using only forty five parameters for quick startup. The keypad is intuitive and used for both programming as well as local operator control.
Heavy duty rated with capability from ½ to 15 Hp, this panel mount drive is easy to install or replace. Pull apart terminal strips and DIN Rail mounting are standard. Feed through power provides incoming terminals at the top of the drive and output motor power at the bottom.

Designed for the 600V market, the Baldor VS1MXS is easy to setup, and ready to run out-of-the box using a basic set of parameters. The keypad is intuitive and used for both programming as well as local operator control. Heavy duty rated with capability from 1 to 7.5HP (0.75 to 5kW) NEMA 12 (IP55), this stand alone drive is easy to install or replace. Pull apart terminal strips and NEMA 12 mounting are standard.
