Mitsubishi Electric's LATEST FR-E700 frequency inverters shows a gigantic advancement from general purpose magnetic flux vector control to advanced magnetic flux vector control.

Class top-level driving performance is realised. There are a number of improved intelligent functions and communications capabilities to the compact class up to 15.0kW.

Since V/F Control and general purpose magnetic flux vector control operations are available, operation after replacement of the current and conventional model (FR-E500 series) is ensured.

Short Time overload capacity is increased to 200% for 3sec and overcurrent trip is less likely to occur. There is an improved torque limit / current limit function to provide machine protection, load limit and stop-on-contact operation. A brake transistor is built-in from 0.4K to 15KW.

The FR-E700 has an USB connector (mini-B connector) provided as standard. The inverter can be easily connected without a USB-RS-485 converter. Interactive function of the FR Configurator (inverter setup software) realizes easier setting support.�

Besides RS-485, the inverter is able to support various kinds of network, ModbusRTU (equipped as standard), CC-Link, Profibus-DP, DeviceNet, LonWorks.

The series features SLV Vector Control and Soft PWM, which enables very powerful torque, particularly in the lower speed range.

The FR-E500 supports connections to open field bus systems like Profibus/DP, DeviceNet and CC-Link. Other communications facilities like the integrated RS-485 interface enable the configuration of multidrop applications with up to 32 stations and connection of the latest PC and process visualisation systems.
